What is Somatic Coaching?
Somatic coaching is a whole-body approach that goes beyond traditional coaching by recognizing the deep connection between the mind and body. About Me - Welcome!
I’m Christina Shakelian, a Somatic Coach certified by the School of Embodied Arts, and a member of the Association of Coaching and the Institute of Complementary Therapies.
My work combines somatic, body-focused coaching with over 10 years of experience in corporate coaching at Apple.
I support people in releasing the stuck tensions, emotions, and limiting beliefs that hold them back, and in moving toward a more grounded, fulfilling, and thriving life. This work is rooted in body-based, somatic practices—not just mental analysis—so change can be felt, embodied, and sustained.
I work with people who feel disconnected from their bodies and instincts. Many feel stuck in their heads and are seeking practical, compassionate ways to release mental and emotional tension, anxiety, and stress. They’re often driven by a desire for clarity, purpose, and emotional resilience, and are open to more holistic ways of creating meaningful change.
During my corporate career, I discovered that when I learned to listen to my body, process emotions, and work somatically, everything shifted—my relationships deepened, decisions became clearer, and I reached my goals with far greater ease. Today, as a Somatic Coach, I use these practices daily to tune out the noise and tune into what feels true and aligned in my life, relationships, and work.
